Growth
As our business has grown, it is more important than ever that we use creative initiatives and offer opportunity for progression in order to make JN Bentley an attractive place to work.
To do this, we offer routes into employment at all stages, from school leavers to experienced professionals. We have a rich tradition when it comes to supporting students through annual intakes of apprentices, school leavers, placements and graduates, as well as supporting our experienced hires to achieve their professional qualifications with the likes of the ICE, IET and ICES.
Talent management
To build a skilled and sustainable workforce we have formalised the talent management process to ensure our people are on the right path to achieve maximum progression. We use Development Plans for core roles in the business, whether site or office based. These development plans support employees who show potential and a desire to broaden their skills, and ensure our people can deliver first-class work for our clients.
Every year our training and development budget stretches upwards of £1 million to maximise the potential of our people.
Diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI)
We are committed to creating working environments on our sites and in our offices that enable our people to be at their very best, delivering brilliant outcomes for clients and each other.
We are passionate about what we do, making sustainable, positive differences to our clients, their customers, our communities and the environment by delivering projects we are all proud of. To do this, we need to cultivate a culture in which the most diverse groups of talented people are empowered to thrive.
To help drive progress within our organisation and the construction industry, we have set out our vision - including our purpose, plan and why DEI is important to us - in our publication below.
