Mott MacDonald Bentley secures AMP8 framework with South West Water

Fully integrated design-and-construct company Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) has secured its first ever framework with South West Water.

The multi-million-pound AMP8 contract runs until 2028 with the potential for a further five-year extension. It will see MMB bring its track record of innovative project delivery to the south west of England for the very first time.

Partnering with South West Water, the company responsible for the water and wastewater services of 1.8 million customers in Cornwall, Devon, the Isles of Scilly and parts of Dorset and Somerset, MMB is one of two suppliers appointed to the water non-infrastructure programme.

This will see MMB deliver a variety of schemes at new and existing clean water treatment works across the west of the region, helping South West Water to achieve its record investment programme.

Director Nick Fawcett said, “We are excited to be appointed to this new framework with South West Water.

“MMB brings to the region a strong track record in the UK water and wastewater sector having delivered hundreds of design-and-build schemes in our 25-year history.

“We’ll focus on affordability and innovation as we work collaboratively with South West Water to solve challenges together and deliver on their business plan priorities.

“We have already begun to establish our team in the region and look forward to forging a strong working relationship through AMP8 and beyond.”

In securing this new framework, MMB brings its current portfolio of UK water sector clients to eight: Anglian Water, Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water, Northumbrian Water, Severn Trent, Thames Water, United Utilities, Yorkshire Water – and now South West Water.

MMB is looking to build its team in the south west, for roles spanning across operational, commercial and design disciplines.

It is an exciting time to join an established integrated design and build company that is at the forefront of delivering innovative solutions for its clients. For more details, please visit the MMB website or contact the recruitment team on 01756 691572 / recruitment@jnbentley.co.uk.
