Mott MacDonald Bentley welcomes second cohort to graduate and apprentice development programme

Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) welcomed its second cohort of graduates and apprentices to its graduate and apprentice development programme.

Over 100 new starters were inducted onto the programme – now in its second year – at a launch event at Aston University in Birmingham.

Held across two days, colleagues received an introduction to the programme and had the opportunity to connect with their peers and learn more about the business.

Delegates heard from senior leaders about their own career journeys and advice for a successful future, took part in practical workshops and engaged in meaningful discussions on topics including health and safety, quality, cost and efficiency, wellbeing, and sustainability.

About the programme

Tailored specifically to MMB, the structured 12-month programme is designed to align with the company’s objectives, values and culture. This ensures that the personal and professional skills gained are applicable and tailored to everyone’s role within MMB.

Helen Bradford, Lead learning and development advisor said: “It's exciting to see everyone at the beginning of their career, building their networks, and their overall enthusiasm for the programme. Thanks to the engagement from our directors and other career professionals our 2024 cohort have invaluable insights into their career journeys and the broader industry. None of this would be possible without their continued support. I’m really looking forward to seeing what they achieve in the next 12 months.”

Hear from delegates

“Being a part of the development programme and attending the launch has been a great experience. It brings everyone together and has a real sense of community. I've learned so much about the different roles and how they all work together. I'm really looking forward to the year ahead!” Emily, Apprentice SHEQ (2024 cohort)

“It’s a great programme, especially the focus on communication. I’ve found it interesting, and the skills I’ve learnt have made me reflect upon how I react within a team. I feel this has made me much better in my role. The mentoring gives you the confidence to take on every opportunity available and the support is there throughout to help you develop.” Will, Graduate process engineer (2023 cohort)
